Run dcdiag.exe To Check Active Directory Health

Second none to event viewer is the dcdiag command which can be used to check the health and state of your Active Directory or to search for clues as to why certain features may not be operating.

Open the command prompt on and client PC or on a DC and run

C:\Windows\system32>dcdiag /s:Domain.net

Output
Directory Server Diagnosis

Performing initial setup:
* Identified AD Forest.
Done gathering initial info.
Doing initial required tests
Testing server: Bloomington\DC04
Starting test: Connectivity
......................... DC04 passed test Connectivity
Doing primary tests
Testing server: Bloomington\DC04
Starting test: Advertising
......................... DC04 passed test Advertising

Etc…….

Any failed tests or error will be indicators of issues you may not have been aware of.

DCDiag switches

/v         Verbose
/q        Report errors
/s         Specifies the server or Domain Controller
/fix         Fixes Service Principal Names (SPN) problems
/f:logfile.txt     Output to a file
