What humans exhale during each breath, a bit misleading

It may be surprising that when I say we breathe out a very small amount of carbon dioxide, very small!

Of all the elements we exhale, carbon dioxide (4%) and argon (1%) are among the smallest trace elements.
The reality is that when we exhale we roughly exhale 78% nitrogen, 17% oxygen which is why rescue breathes are so effective during emergency first response using CPR.
