Data Protection Manager (Add Data Volume To Existing)

To add a data volume to an existing DPM Protection group you will need to follow these steps

  1. Click the Protection Tab
    1. Highlight the protection group which includes the client that has the data that you want to backup
    2. Click the Modify protection group...
      1. This is located on the right navigation pane
    3. Select from the Available members the client you want to modify
      1. Expand the client tree
        1. Expand the All Volumes tree
        2. Select the drive letters you want to add to the existing protection group
          1. Click Next
        3. Choose your protection method
          1. Click Next
        4. Specify your disk based protection strategy
          1. Click Next
    4. Continue to follow the remaining prompts which are straight forward.
